Antonia Z Brown is a dancer and choreographer in Philadelphia whose work has been described as “full-bodied, virtuosic and ‘space-eating’” (Kalila Kingsford Smith for thINKingDANCE). As a choreographer, Antonia has had artist residencies at Mascher Space Coop and the San Francisco Conservatory of Dance. A graduate from Haverford and Bryn Mawr Colleges, she now dances new work and modern repertory with Dancefusion Dance Company. She also works in a range of different projects with artists in film, music and dance including Jacobi Alvarez, Leyya Mona Tawil, The Institute for Psychogeographic Adventure, Out of Town Films and most recently, local synth-pop band Vita and the Woolf. In her 2015 SoLowFest project One Dancer, Six Choreographers, Antonia danced a solo game of “telephone” with choreography by guest artists David Brick, Christina Gesualdi, Nora Gibson, Gina Hoch-Stall and Jumatatu Poe.
